Sunshine and Fresh Air

Hello All,
What a a great weekend. I celebrated my 2 month smoke free anniversary yesterday and what a great weekend to do it. It felt so good to be able to smell the frsh air and exercise out in the sunshine without wheezing and being short of breath. If you are looking to quit, go to the link below and check out the program. It worked for me and it can work for you too. I used to smoke a pack a a day and now don't smoke at all and I have already saved $500.

More Than 5 Weeks...

Hello everyone,
I am still smoke free and it feels fantastic. It has been a little over 5 weeks now. I still have moments of stress that are killers and make me crave like no other but the cravings are a lot shorter. It feels good to be able to do a whole hour of cardio and not wheez and feel horrible.

Stair Climbing

Hey guys,
So I am almost a month without quitting smoking and I feel great! I wanted you to see a video I made of PJ from Xgym and me climbing to the top of the municipal tower. It's pretty Crazy. Let me know what you think. Also, we will be asking people to join us in training for the Freedom from Smoking and the American Lung Association Fight for Air Climb on October 23rd real soon. A Little Over 3 Weeks

So I am a little over 3 weeks in with this wholequitting smoking thing. With the combination of my medicine and my affiliation with the amazing people at the American Lung Association, this has been difficult instead of impossible. It is starting to get easier by the day. I am noticing my sense of smell is getting better also. I just wish I could get the cigarette smell out of my car. It makes me dread driving in my car because now the smell bothers me and it also makes me crave. The hardest part of all of this is when you get REALLY stressed. I was used to getting a cigarette everytime I got stressed to calm down. Now, I miss cigarettes a lot when i am stressed but when life is normal, I feel fine. I am excited that I wont be that guy pushing a stroller with a cigarette hanging out of my mouth. Its also really nice not to spend 8 bucks a day on something that is killing me. I posted this picture because it reminds me of what my life used to be and it is pretty disgusting. Don't ya think?

2 Weeks In

So this quitting smoking thing has gotten easier but it is still hard. Today, I have officially not smoked for 2 weeks. It is still hard when I smell it or after I eat or when I have some drinks with my friends. I am really looking forawrd to the time where I don't think about it all. It really is like the loss of a friend. I always try to think of the positives about it though. I am happy I am not gonna be the daddy pushing a stroller with a cigarette hanging out my mouth. The American Lung Association has really helped me with this! I am very excited about being able to work with them on this. If you are looking to quit, you owe it to yourself to check out the link i posted on this page. It has helped me so much and the best thing is, all of the resources they provide are available 24 hours a day. If you smoke, you know the cravings come at any and all times. I was smoking a pack a day at one point and now i have not had one. If I can do it, you can too! Check out the link below!! :)

Quitting Smoking Sucks right now

Hey everyone,
So we are talking about quitting smoking on the show right now and i have to tell you. I am MISERABLE!!! I never thought it would be so hard to just NOT do something! It is brutal!! I am getting really upset at stupid stuff. This morning, Dr. Jay chose a dumb song for flush the format and i got actually angry. ridiculous. I am so happy I have the ALA on my side helping me out with us. I am using their Freedom From Smoking Program and it has been very helpful so far! I have people i can call when I have cravings, I am also learning a lot of different techniques of how to become a non-smoker. Check out the link below and see what i am talking about:
