Live music, great food and fun raffle items, Pawpalooza is one event you won’t want to miss! Proceeds and donated pet items will go to Kitsap Humane Society, the Humane Society of Tacoma and Pierce County and the Fish Food Bank of Gig Harbor. The benefit is at Bed, Bark and Beyond on Fox Island (135 Island Blvd), from Noon to 8 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 8. Donations of pet food, treats, blankets, beds and toys are appreciated and will be distributed among the three charities.

Scrub-A-Mutt Fundraising Dog Wash

Marysville Grab your dirty dog and come join Scrub-A-Mutt’s 8th annual fundraising dog wash! 100% of proceeds benefit pet rescue. Goodie bags for the first 400 dogs that attend. Suggested donation $5.00 for small dogs, $10 for large dogs. $5.00 nail trims. Visit with local rescues: Old Dog Haven, NOAH, the Everett Animal Shelter, Bulldog Haven NW. FREE microchipping presented by the Everett Animal Shelter. Vendor booths selling doggie items like collars, toys and treats will be on hand. Trainers, groomers and other dog based services will also have booths. There will be an amazing gift basket raffles. Food for humans too - Kettle Corn, Espresso, Hot Dogs and more. Sausage & Cider Fest

The first annual Sausage and Cider Fest will debut on Saturday, August 22nd from 4-8 p.m. at Covington Community Park. Hard cider and sausage lovers will sip on ciders and snack on different styles of sausage from around the northwest. Adding to the festivities will be live music and a variety of lawn games like corn hole, croquet and badminton. The festival is a fundraiser for the Covington Kiwanis Club and an effort to spotlight this southeast King County city, with the city of Covington’s support and sponsorship. SUBWAY Walk in the Park

SUBWAY® restaurants are partnering with the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission to launch Walk in the Park for the third year in a row. Beginning on National Get Outdoors Day – Saturday, June 13 – and continuing through September 30, anyone who shows a Discover Pass at a participating SUBWAY® restaurant throughout Washington State will receive a voucher good for a free six-inch sandwich with the purchase of a six-inch sandwich of equal or greater price and a 30 oz. drink. Vouchers will also be available at parks in the participating counties when staff is available.

Light The Night Walks

Light The Night Walk is a fundraising campaign of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) which brings together families and communities to honor blood cancer survivors, as well as those lost to the diseases, and shine a light on the importance of finding cures and providing access to treatments for blood cancer patients.
