Free Things to Do in Seattle When the Suns Out

March 12, 2018

"Suns out"... our two favorite words in the Puget Sound.  "The sun is out after a long, dreary winter" are even more popular! Today we are expected to break records for warm temperatures in March. Seattle is suppose to top out around 70 degrees with nothing but sunshine this afternoon.

Now the entire city will be wanting to shake the dust off! So here are some fun, free things you can do with your friends and family to enjoy Seattle and soak up the sun!

Take a stroll through Pike Place Market! The daffodiles are just starting to bloom, and you can always find beautiful flowers to sniff OR take home.

Stroll through Olympic Sculpture Park and enjoy the sounds of Elliot Bay, the gorgeous views of the Olympic Mountains the Space Needle. Olympic Sculpture Park, managed by the Seattle Art Museum, is home to over a dozen large artworks, with access free and open to the public every day from dawn until dusk.

Take a walk through the Ballard Locks. During spawning season you can see the salmon up close through glass windows several feet below the canal.
