Almost three years ago, I moved to Seattle alone. I left behind a boyfriend, all of my family, and every friend I'd ever known. I was scared, but I was so excited to work for one of the biggest country radio stations in America!
You may already know, but my sweet boyfriend moved here from Nashville in October. I refer to him as my FBP (Favorite Bass Player).
Then, this morning I get the news that my niece Zoe and her family are moving to Seattle in August!!!!! Her step-dad works in the gaming/IT industry, so they will be here in a month! As you can imagine, the water works started! *sniff sniff*
Maybe I'm a little biased, but I think Zoe is beautiful!
Zoe is my brother Terry's daughter! We are all so proud of Zoe, because she just graduated high school! She will be attending community college here in the Pacific Northwest before moving onto a four year college. If you have any suggestions of where she should go, please let me know. Zoe and her family know nothing about the area, so any and all suggestions would be so helpful.
My first thought when this news was confirmed was GOD IS GOOD!
Three years ago, I was alone. Holidays were always so tough. Now I not only have my loving boyfriend living in Seattle, but family is on the way! I can't wait to love on my niece and show her all over the Pacific Northwest! I'm feeling truly blessed today.
I am so happy for you. I also am so proud of you for using your courage to expand your horizons. Tell Zoe that BC (Bellevue College) is one of the largest in the country. Also, if the family is liberal, maybe Evergreen State would be appropriate?
I second Bellevue College! Not only do they have great AA programs they have also recently added 4 yr BA degrees! Great school with great teachers! Also yay for close family support!!

Green river has a program with Central Washington University for teaching if that's a career field she is interested in. How exciting for you all!

Citing Ty Herndon as inspiration yesterday... Billy Gillman filmed a video and uploaded it to YouTube. He is also gay.
Billy claims the fact that he is gay has kept him from signing a major record deal. If that's true, that is sad and...
Ty Herndon has come out of the closet! Read the entire story from People Magazine HERE.
Here's a couple of my favorite Ty Herndon songs from the 90's:
Good for you, Ty. I support your courage and hope you can be a role model...
Meghan Trainor (who sings "All About That Bass") steps up to the mic and belts out an AWESOME version of Taylor Swift's "Shake It Off"! This is addicting! Check it out.
