Weight Loss Wednesday #8 ? Why I Stopped Chasing a Number

I stopped chasing a number. Don’t get me wrong. The number on the scale needs to come down. I know this. However, when I first started on this weight loss journey it was only about the number that starred back at me every morning when I weighed myself. Now what I’m chasing is much different and these photos will prove it.

Now, before you continue reading, please comment below and tell me how much weight you think I’ve lost based on these photos. Go ahead. I’ll wait.

15 lbs? You look awesome!

BMI
I think a BMI would tell you more than the actual weight you've lost. I'll bet you've lost more than 4 lbs of fat and gained a lot of weight in muscle.

Weight loss
I would say 18 pounds, you are looking great. The amazing thing is how much younger you start looking as you tone and firm up your body!! Great job! Proud of your commitment to YOURSELF!!

U look great but i am guessing it is more mussel gain then weight loss

My guess
It's hard to say since muscle weighs more than fat. My guess is the number on the scale isn't gonna be a crazy decrease just because you are converting fat to muscle, which weighs more. I could be wrong though! My guess is 10 pounds of weight, although you look much more lean and thin. Great job!!

It's just a number
I'm pretty sure the girl in both photos looks AMAZING! I too, am working on my body, but I stopped focussing on the scale number. I focus more on my clothes fitting lose, or fitting into a smaller size, or just being happier. The lifestyle change will improve more than just the number on the scale. Just remember that! Keep up the good work! -Bre Stevens Check out my fitness blog on Facebook : Bres fitness freaks!

Great job!
It looks like 15-18, but if you are hitting the gym, probably less because muscle is awesome and weighs a lot more than the fat!
