Crazy People In Restaurants

Is there a website you love to go to and check on a daily basis? I have a new favorite check it out below:

(thestir.cafemom.com) Kids often get a bad rap for being out of control in restaurants. Some joints even ban them altogether. But what about all of the ill-behaved adults out there who dine out with less than dazzling manners? There are plenty of them. Take the guy in this photo. Twitter user ahow posted it this weekend, along with the following caption: "A grown ass man is mad at his girlfriend at Olive Garden & has made a menu fort." If it wasn't so absolutely sad that a grown man would act like that in public, it would be hilarious. Okay, it's hilarious no matter how you look it. But some of the other bad behavior adults exhibit in restaurants is no laughing matter. Here are four more crazy things adults do in restaurants.

1. Ask for food from other diners

I kid you not, this happened to me last month. I was eating with my family in a casual restaurant and had ordered chicken nachos, which turned out to be ridiculously huge. Seriously, they took up almost half the table. When the guy next to me jokingly (I thought) asked, "Are you going to eat all of those?" I jokingly said, "No way, you want some?" And he did! Not knowing what else to do, I scooped him up a plateful, and he and his date proceeded to eat them. I'm still weirded out by this.

2. Leave bad tips
I don't think every server deserves 20 percent, but if you're eating out, you should figure on coughing up close to that amount for a majority of meals. Anyone who won't should just eat somewhere tips aren't required. Of course, there are also those who choose to editorialize along with their receipt like this jerk who gave an overweight waitress "advice," and they may be even worse than the cheapos.

3. Let their kids run the place
So kids don't get off the hook totally here, but it's really their parents who are to be blamed. No, kids can't always be controlled, but that's when it's time for you to ask for a to-go box, and go! Perhaps the most outrageous example of parents overstepping boundaries at an eatery is this in which a woman changed her baby's diaper on the restaurant's table. So. Wrong.

4. Talk on their phones incessantly
Need to answer a quick call in a lively restaurant? Maybe that's okay once in a while, but when full-on conversations are happening, and the whole restaurant can hear it, it's beyond obnoxious.

Dinner crasher
My husband and I were at The Cheesecake Factory on a super busy Friday night. We watched as a couple in their late 40s approached a mother and daughter who were eating together in the bar area at a table. They apparently couldn't wait for their turn to be seated, and asked the mother and daughter if they could sit at the other two seats of their 4 top table. Of course the mother and daughter said yes but so awkward! We watched as they ordered drinks appetizers and dinner and continuously asked the mother and daughter to slide their food over so they can make room. People are ridiculous!
